After last years fantastic touch tournament, Lanna Rugby Club hosted the second ever Chiang Mai Touch Tournament.
The touch tournament was a brainchild of our Direct of Rugby Matt, and Erin who is the founder of The Hedgehogs, who play on Monday nights from 8-9pm at The Box Stadium.
To keep the momentum going Lanna Rugby Club hosted the 2nd Chiang Mai Rugby Touch Tournament which started from 930am at Varee Chiang Mai International School on October 28th 2023.
Varee Int. School have been big supporters of Lanna Rugby, giving a safe space for players to learn the game of all ages. We’d like to thanks Varee Chiang Mai School for hosting this event and for all that it does to help support the growth of the sport we love.
The event saw players of all skill levels, from beginner right through to seasoned players. The LRC coaching ataff put on some practice sessions before getting stuck into the Chiang Mai Touch Tournament fixtures for those who were new to the game.
It was a fantastic fun day, welcoming a few new players into the rugby community which has been developed within Chiang Mai.
There were five teams that entered in this years Chiang Mai Touch Tournament.
We had a blast competing in the Chiang Mai Touch Rugby Tournament. Big shoutout to Chiang Mai Touch Rugby for co-hosting, to all of our kids who participated, and to our very own Maddie Barry who got to play a bit of rugby on her birthday!
