The Dimbulla Chiang Mai 11s league came to a climatic close with Chiang Mai All Stars crowned as champions for the 2nd time since the first league was established back in 2019. Thanks also to Cobras Rugby Club and CMU Rugby Club for making it such a successful competition.
Even though Lanna Rugby Club were pipped at the post, some of the Lions players received some league awards. Phil Gwyther, who has been a player and ambassador of the club since 2018, was put up for the Best Forward of the league award. A new member who has made a huge impact in the Lions back line was also given a nomination as Best Back of the League.
We’ve made so many great strides forward this season and we look forward to building on this success next year. The club is building and as is the momentum! The CM11s league maybe over with the Chiang Mai All Stars crowned as champions, alas the season for LRC is not over yet. We have the CM11s International Tournament which will see the Women’s, Men’s and U14 Junior Boys team playing. Then after the Christmas break there have been various friendlies set up as well as the Pattaya 10s in May to look forwards to. Watch this space!
We Are LANNA!

Lanna Rugby Club would like to thank our 2023-24 season sponsors:
