Since 2018 Lanna Rugby Club have been forging a way forwards for rugby in the north of Thailand however now they have some help as Huddersfield RUFC and Lanna Rugby Club link up.
The club founder, Tom Stubley, played for HRUFC as a teenager up until he went to Leeds Beckett University to study architecture.
Since his move back to the UK Tom has managed to form this wonderful link between his old club and his new club to help develop rugby in Chiang Mai.
Huddersfield RUFC is a fantastic set up with age grade from U6’s right through to open age.
Last week to validate the Huddersfield and Lanna link up a shirt exchange was carried out in front of the very picturesque HRUFC first team pitch.
Over time, we hope this new relationship can help push Lanna Rugby Club to new heights, giving the youth players more of an incentive to improve their skills as well as strengthening what the club is all about, getting the community involved with the sport we all love.
We cannot wait to see what future lies ahead!
